Plyometrics
Often times, I think the value of plyometric training is over looked. As an athlete, plyometric training should be an integral part of your workout regimen. Plyometrics involves using rapid, explosive movements to be able to put out large amounts of energy quickly. Plyometric exercises train your muscles to become stronger and contract faster, allowing you to move faster and jump higher. These exercises are especially great because the only things you need to do them are desire, and an open space. Again plyometrics should be a crucial component in any athletes work out regimen.
Indigo Children
I read Chandra's blog about indigo children and found it to be very interesting. Just the possibility that something of this nature is possible is a true testament to how amazing the human brain is. If children really are starting to develop these higher level cognitive skills, imagine the possibilities that the future will hold. We could have major advances not only in the technology field, but perhaps in the medical field as well. We these evolved people perhaps we could find a cure for cancer or aids. It is very exciting to think about these possibilities for the future.

Tech Habits
I think tip number 3 in this article was probably the most helpful. The tip was to work faster and more efficiently without a mouse. There are many shortcut keys that makes typing and just moving things around in general alot easier. Examples are as simple as using the tab key to move from one text box to another or using the "F" buttons for various different outcomes. Another tech tip i plan on using is to sort out all the different cords connected to my computer. This will make disconnecting my laptop easier and also make my work space more comfortable. One tech tip I thought was ridiculous was the tip "Lose weight, get fit, save money and increase your mileage online". There is no computer that can help you lose weight or get fit, there is only one way to do that and that is old fashioned exercise.
Dustin Pedroia
Dustin Pedroia became the starting second baseman for the red sox last year in the 2007 season. At first glance, Pedroia does not appear to be a major league baseball player, standing only 5'9'' and weight 180 pounds, but he is one of the key players in the Red Sox quest for another championship. He started off slow at the plate in his first major league season, but he quickly turned it around, and by June 2007 he was batting .322. In the ALDS Pedroia struggled, but when they needed him in the ALCS he came through with a batting average of .345. Pedroia is one of the hardest working, dedicated players on the team, and it shows in his play. It is easy to see why Dustin Pedroia is my favorite player on the Red Soxs.
